Vine Kick

Dec 2017 – Mar 2020

image

Back in 2017, my friends and I started a YouTube channel called Vine Kick. Just like the name suggests, we made funny vines and silly songs. We were just a bunch of school kids with zero knowledge about SEO, thumbnails, or any of that “YouTube growth” stuff. Even so, going from 100 views a video to hitting 1k–5k felt huge to us. At that time, it was everything we needed to proudly call ourselves “YouTubers” at school.

Kaptaan Myth

Aug 2022 – Jun 2024

image

I started this channel back in 2022 during my university days — just me, my laptop, and countless late nights. From brainstorming ideas to editing videos, designing thumbnails, and uploading — everything was done by me alone. The channel focused on gaming and memes, but this time I really understood how YouTube worked — from SEO to crafting click-worthy thumbnails. Within just a year, it organically grew to over 1.4 million views and 3,000+ subscribers. It was a journey of creativity, consistency, and nonstop learning.

Even though I stopped actively posting on this channel years ago, it still brings in 1k–2k views per day.

Wael Ahmad - Instagram

Dec 2019 – Mar 2022

Around that time, I started gaining attention on Instagram, so I began creating funny videos. In 2021, when Instagram introduced Reels, it gave me the perfect opportunity to expand my content, which helped me grow to over +59k followers

Some Video Performance

I don’t have much left to showcase from my Instagram journey — everything else was deleted over time — but I do have two videos I created during the COVID-19 lockdown. While limited in number, these videos capture my creativity, ability to engage an audience, and skill in making content that resonates, even in challenging times. They’re a small but meaningful glimpse into my work and approach.

Key Takeaways

• Built and managed content channels from scratch.
• Grew audiences organically through creativity and consistency.
• Learned to optimize content for reach and engagement.
• Channels continue to attract views long after posting.

Conclusion

For me, managing social media and creating content has never just been a job — it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I’ve been doing it since 2017, running my own accounts, learning how algorithms work, and figuring out what makes people engage and share. It’s the mix of creativity, strategy, and just having fun with it that keeps me going.
